Dr. Khatuna Gurgenashvili is a general neurologist with an expertise in treating a wide range of neurological conditions. Dr. Gurgenashvili completed medical school in the country of Georgia graduating with honors. She completed internship and residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Following her residency, she began practicing in Pennsylvania and Maryland in the community based setting. Driven by a passion for advancing her knowledge and expertise she completed a one-year Neurophysiology Fellowship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She stayed at Penn State as a part time faculty in the Epilepsy and Neuromuscular divisions. Dedicated to serving the local community and committed to the broad practice of general neurology Dr. Gurgenashvili returned to Chambersburg where she now works as a full-time neurologist with Wellspan Health’s West Region providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Gurgenashvili is quadruple board certified in Neurology, Neurophysiology, Epilepsy and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Gurgenashvili is a fellow of American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Gurgenashvili joined the Pennsylvania Neurological Society a few years ago and currently serves as one of the board offices of PNS.
